Atlantic City Bottle Company/The Iron Room

Opening the Doors to Customers and Awards

LJC opened Atlantic City Bottle Company (ACBC) and its now highly acclaimed bar and lounge, The Iron Room, quickly making it a favorite among customers and critics. However, the challenge was the owners knew no one in the Atlantic City area and the business was in a neighborhood not known for housing a nice restaurant. On one side was a car wash and on the other, a vacant Salvation Army store, making it almost hidden from passing motorists.

Our Approach

Capitalizing on our relationships with local food critics, influencers, and VIPs, LJC introduced them all to the small speakeasy style bar and restaurant. We hosted both individual and FAM visits for the media to enjoy the menu of small unique plates and impressive selections of wine. Existing as a stand-alone restaurant and liquor store outside of a casino and in an almost hidden location, ACBC and the Iron Room was positioned as a "don't miss" spot for both locals and visitors looking for an authentic experience. After sending out a series of press releases on the owners, the chef, the unique menu and other highlights, we were then ready to throw several grand opening parties. We had to host multiple parties as the venue could not accommodate more than 60 people at a time. We also targeted members of the Food & Wine Society - Chaine des Rotisseurs - to attend the opening events and to host their own member dinners at the venue, to keep the buzz going in foodie circles.

The Results

After coordinating several influencer and grand opening events and securing features in top media outlets, such as the New York Times, the Iron Room and ACBC are now an Atlantic City staple continuing to garner acclaim. Among its many accolades, ACBC has been bestowed the Best of Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator several years in a row. Zagat also named the Iron Room as one of the "10 Hottest Restaurants on the Jersey Shore."
